This large restaurant is on the West Bank: from the National Ferry walk inland about 100 metres and you will find African Garden just beyond the local bus station, opposite Yaras supermarket. The ground floor seats about 60, maybe more, and there may be more accommodation further back and upstairs. Garden is a slight misnomer - the ground floor dining area is partly covered, partly open. The main drawback is the noise and fumes from the bus-station. The fixed menu at LE40 is fairly standard - bread, salad, tahini, vegetables, rice and a choice of 4 main dishes, + a small slice of cake. Stella was available when I visited. The fried fish was substantial, coated with breadcrumbs, reasonably filleted, tasty. More than enough to feed me and the neighbourhood cats. The salad was unusual - it appeared to comprise small pieces of French Fries and thin slices of mild green chilli. It probably changes with season, but made a pleasant change.
