Kasr el-Aguz (Temple of Thoth)

This small Ptolemaic temple is in the garden of a private house just to the south of Medinet Habu. The owner will be pleased to see you, and allow you access for a little backsheesh. There is not much space around the outside walls of the temple so it can be difficult to get a good photograph. Here are some of mine, taken in 2006.
Not many drivers will know where this site is, so you would do well to use Tayyeb Hassan, or at least get your driver to consult him.

I visited again in 2013, after the temple was officially opened. Not much has changed although there has been some cleaning. The pyramidions on the gate posts have gone though. Pictures below.
