Malkata Palace (Palace of Amenhotep III)

This area is not normally open to the general public, but the guard can often be persuaded to let you have a quick look round (for a consideration, of course). It is not very impressive unless you know what you are looking for. You may be lucky enough to be shown the few fragments of coloured plaster, in which case a little more backsheesh should be given. The pictures below give a general idea of this area.
