This second floor roof-top restaurant run by Mohammed is at the western corner of the riverside square in Gezira in the space that was until 2013 the Africa restaurant. It offers a set menu comprising bread, soup, salad, main course, vegetables, rice or French fries and dessert at LE45, which is very reasonable in this area, and the dishes that I tried were excellently prepared by one of the very best chefs on the West Bank. The soft drinks may be a bit more expensive than at some other local places. Local beer and wine were available.
On my first visit (6th January 2016) the waiter got my order extremely muddled when I tried to order only 2 items, and was extremely apologetic. Naturally the bill reflected the items I actually ate, rather than the full set meal.
I will visit it again before being the first to review it on TripAdvisor, as I do not want to mark the service down because of a single mistake, however big.
As when this site was used by Africa, there is also an indoor restaurant on the first floor, where the kitchen and bathrooms are also located. The electricity cables (10 thick black ones) directly outside the roof do tend to spoil the view a little, but "this is Egypt".
