WARNING: on 2nd April 2011 there were only about 6 tombs open to the public, including Tutankhamun and Ramesses VI for which a separate ticket is required. The standard entry ticket therefore only gives the visitor the choice of three out of four tombs. Not only does this put more pressure on the fabric of the tombs which are open, but will lead to longer queues when visitor numbers increase. I spoke to an inspector later, and he does not expect more tombs to be open before the autumn elections.
As and when I obtain any photographs of individual tombs, or a public-domain plan, I will include them on a separate page.
